We loaded our stuff and kids into the van and headed into the woods. The lake was so beautiful and clean, and there were huckleberry bushes everywhere, and they were loaded with berries! We had just enough time left in the day to set up camp and eat dinner. We realized we forgot a few things, like bed mats, so we had to sleep on the ground, but that didn’t break our spirits!
The next morning we got up and made breakfast, picked berries, and then headed to the lake! Kaleb was fly fishing and he caught a couple little fish, and the kids had fun splashing and swimming in the lake. There was lots of laughter, sunshine, and fun had by all. We then headed back to camp where we ate watermelon and smores before picking up camp and heading home, already dreaming of our next adventure….
