4. Tune-up your existing gear. Maintain, repair, clean and organize it.
5. Explore new camping destinations. Google Earth is a great tool.
6. Research new camping/outdoor ideas, YouTube is a great source.
7. Try your hand at some D.I.Y. camping gear. Use your skills to make your own camping gear.
8. Improve your outdoor skills. Knots and first aid are some great examples.
9. Experiment with new camp cooking recipes and techniques.
10. If you can’t wait, and you are prepared – Go winter camping.
Bonus. Remember the most important camping equipment you have is YOU! Use the off season to get in better shape so that you can get the most enjoyment out of your outdoor adventures.
