———————————————————————————————-
To start, you’ll want to access the instructions sewn into the inside of your stuff sack. With the tailgate open, make sure the tent is laid out with the no-see-um mesh side up. Now, locate the tailgate pockets and slip over the tailgate, running the tailgate strap underneath. With the tailgate pockets secured, you can now extend the rest of your tent over the top of the bed and secure the tent’s split seam corners around the corners of the truck bed. Next, you should begin securing your strap clips to the bottom outside lip of the truck bed. Start one one side of the truck, securing the forward strap closest to the cab then move backwards to the under the wheel well strap, followed by the back strap. Then, do the same on the opposite side of the truck. Now, locate the tailgate strap and tighten it up. Make sure to complete this step before moving to the final, rearmost strap. This strap should cross over the back strap and clip in on the right side of the back strap clip. Once all of your clips are secured, you can begin tightening all of your straps until they tense the tent’s flap seam evenly against the top of the truck bed rail.
———————————————————————————————-
Now, upzip the back of the tent and locate one of the orange interior straps. Lifting the tailgate slightly, feed this orange strap through the gap between the tailgate and the truck bed. Release the tailgate back to it’s fully opened position, and repeat those steps with the other orange strap. The rounded construction on the orange strap hooks will keep the straps from slipping back up through the tailgate, but you can also fasten the clips to the metal frame members behind the truck’s bumper, if you’d like. Now you can go back and pull the tent’s inner flaps under the orange straps, under there is no remaining slack, then tighten the orange straps until there is tension as well.
———————————————————————————————-
Now you’re ready to pitch the tent with the included set of three (3) shockcorded poles. Arrange the poles by their color coordinated sleeves (orange pole with orange sleeve, gray with gray) and fit the poles into their appropriate pockets on one side of the vehicle. Once the poles are secured, you can go around to the opposite side and begin to raise the tent, raising the orange poles first and securing them into their pole pockets, then finishing with the gray pole. With the gray pole in place, attach the clips located on the tent securely around the gray pole.
———————————————————————————————-
For inclement weather conditions, installing the optional rainfly is easy. Simply position the rainfly over the tent with the logo toward the rear, connect the six (6) buckles – three (3) on each side, and adjust the straps as necessary. Finally, locate the tie strings on the inside of the rainfly, and tie them to the tent poles. Once this is done, your setup is complete.
———————————————————————————————-
When you’re done camping, storage is a snap! Just take your clean, dry tent, place the rainfly and pole bag on top, and roll it together. From setup to disassembly, the Rightline Gear Truck Tent is thoughtfully designed to help you set up camp wherever your truck will take you!
