Check out our trip to Lake Wister State Park in Oklahoma! If you love to travel in your RV you don’t want to miss this tour showcasing one of the best RV destinations in Oklahoma and more! The park is located in Eastern Oklahoma at the foothills of the Ouachita National forest near Wister, Oklahoma—you will find it nestled within the forest on the shores of Wister Lake. My wife and I were looking for a quiet getaway for Labor Day weekend that wasn’t too far away from our home in East Texas. We found Lake Wister (which was only a little over 4 hours) and decided to give it a try. We didn’t go without doing a little bit of research first, but we were happy to find a park that was much more charming in person than the videos and pictures that we found online.
