CAMPING IN THE WOODS UK. Camping in the woods or ‘forest camping’ offers a truly unique chance to embrace and reconnect with nature. Thankfully, the UK is alive with natural woodland. The UK is also a real treasure trove for woodland camping locations but this particular spot in the woods is our very own home away from home. On this little overnight wild camp, me and junior decided to do some last min camping in the woods back at the old bushcraft base.

Wild camping in the uk isn’t fully understood, and it would appear that everybody has their own spin on what qualifies as wild camping, for me it simply means camping anywhere other then a designated camping spot.

It’s not easy to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Finding the time and the place to ‘get away from it all’ is a challenge for each of us. This is where our local wood steps in; its a quick disconnect, a place to step back and take a deep breath of fresh air – a spa for the mind and body, but without the added travel costs.
