Tent Wood Stove Cooking: Join us as we make a Vietnamese sandwich at camp.
PICKLED VEGGIES: chopped daikon, cucumber, carrot, jalapeño, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, salt and sugar. You can make these ahead of time and keep in a mason jar too.

Then toast the bread (it’s better if you do it with butter and garlic). Add whatever meat or tofu. We just used hotdogs, but you can feel free to use a fancy marinade with meat. Throw on the pickled veggies, sriracha sauce, hoison sauce. We didn’t add mayo but a lot of people enjoy that on Vietnamese sandwiches as well.

You can make them for the whole group and there is a lot of room for creativity. You can make the pickled veggies and anything you want to marinate ahead.
