Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler holds a press conference Thursday morning to give a status update on the city’s plan to create large-scale sanctioned camp sites for the homeless. Wheeler said the campsites are one of three main components of the homeless plan, along with increased affordable housing and a criminal justice referral system.
