This time we drove our Overland car, the Jeep Wrangler JKU to a quiet and beautiful campground on the lake. Before we had to drive with the Jeep through muddy terrain, but this is no problem for 4×4 vehicle. Finally arrived we enjoyed the peace and quiet here and the beautiful view of the lake. This is surrounded by a lot of forest and the birds are singing. The weather forecast had predicted no rain, but we have built for safety the awning of ARB. This was the right decision, as it turned out later. This time we wanted to test the outdoor oven from Omnia and have baked Swedish cinnamon buns (Kanelbulle). This was very exciting. With this oven from Omnia you can cook and bake outside when camping. Our roof tent from Ursaminorvehicles is set up quickly. The J30 is designed to fit the Jeep Wrangler JKU by Ursaminorvehicles. We had it imported from the USA. We drank non-alcoholic beer and explored the surroundings around the lake. Overland camping is nothing without a campfire in the evening. So I started chopping wood and preparing it for the campfire. There was already a big fireplace. In Sweden wild camping is allowed and so is making fire. As it was getting a bit late, we started cooking dinner. We are vegetarians and like to drink wine. We also camp in a minimalist way. That means we don’t focus so much on unnecessary equipment. A simple gas cooker is enough for us. Also, it may look a bit unsorted to you, but everything is sorted in the various boxes in the tailgate of the jeep.
