After a successful move I now find myself in the thick northern boreal forest of Alberta, Canada.
I spend a couple of days out with the intent of scouting a new area which I will utilize for many future trips. Unfortunately due to the dry spring Alberta has had so far, a fire ban has been placed for most of the northern part of the province. Due to this I have to resort to cooking my meals over a small gas-powered camp stove instead of a campfire.
